On the outskirts of Paris hidden within the deep undergrowth lies the haunting remains of the Jardin d'Agronomie Tropicale now referred to as The Human Zoo.

Over a hundred years ago millions of Europeans flocked to this horrific attraction . In 1907, six different villages were built in Paris representing all the corners of the French colonial empire at the time– Madagascar, Indochine, Sudan, Congo, Tunisia and Morocco. The villages were built to recreate the life and culture as it was in their original habitats.

Its an ugly mark on France's history and lays hidden , decaying quietly for the past 100 years

The villagers were paid to be on display but were oppressed and exploited. People lived as specimens and not humans

Inside all the buildings was incredibly sad and the feeling i had inside was heartbreaking

I explored everywhere and eventually couldnt take anymore. This place is beautiful now............. but 100 years ago this was once an evil evil business that no one knows exsisted ..........
